St. Luke School is honored to be named the latest “Community Green” award winner by WLTZ for our efforts in partnering with Trees Columbus. Servant leadership is a big part of the SLS culture, and something on which we continually focus. In the past eleven years, our families have raised over $100,000 through our monthly missions. We’re thrilled this year to be focusing our mission efforts on local organizations, and to be making a difference in our community. All students Kindergarten through fifth grade and some middle school students learned to crochet and made beautiful pieces to be added to the tree outside of the St. Luke ELC, where they “yarn bombed” a tree in honor of Trees Columbus. This project was guided by our amazing art teacher, Sietske Johnson.
