St. Luke School students are bringing one of the FIRST EVER middle school CMN “Mini” Dance Marathons in the COUNTRY to SLS!
CMN Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement involving college, high school and now middle school students at more than 450 schools – all raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Dance Marathons donate 100% of the funds that they raise directly to their local children’s hospital. Dance Marathons have become a tradition on campuses and in communities across the country, raising funds in a variety of ways while interacting with the children’s hospitals’ patients and their families. (Please see http://dancemarathon.com/Home for more information about this wonderful organization.)
St. Luke School is hosting its first ever Mini Dance Marathon on April 15th. Middle School students will dance, play games, and have a great time, all while raising money for our local CMN hospital, The Children’s Hospital at Midtown Medical Center, right here in Columbus. Students from Auburn University are partnering with and mentoring us to help make our SLS MDM a huge success! Their 14 hour AUDM event was held on Saturday, February 6th in the Auburn University Student Center with 1,200 registered dancers and raised over $424,000!
The SLS MDM will be three hours and our fundraising goal is just $2,000. We will be dancing for those who can’t, and we would love to have your support. Donations can be made easily online – just go to http://bit.ly/1YeSSfh. We also need event sponsors! And we need Middle School students to register for the event! If you have any questions, please email the committee at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also follow us on instagram at sls.dance.marathon.
