Did you know that there are 397 families at St. Luke School? Did you also know that for every family at SLS, there is at least one family in the Chattahoochee Valley who will not have a Thanksgiving meal this year?
Our sixth grade Lions have issued a St. Luke Family Challenge – it’s called “Feed a Family.” For every SLS family, we want to feed a family this Thanksgiving! Every Friday in October, Luke the Lion will be at a different carpool line collecting items and filling baskets. Student Ambassadors will also be helping at every carpool line to collect food basket items.
For more about the challenge, take a look at this great commercial from our sixth grade Lions!
As a reminder, each grade is responsible for the following items:
- K – stuffing
- 1st – canned corn
- 2nd – boxed corn bread mix
- 3rd – canned yams
- 4th – canned cranberry sauce
- 5th – canned or boxed potatoes
- 6th – canned peas
- 7th – canned green beans
- 8th – boxed dessert (Jell-O, cake mix, brownie mix, etc.)
- Staff – boxed tea
This Thanksgiving, we have so much to be grateful for, so let’s get GIVING!
