SMART Board Initiative
Your Opportunity to Support Instructional Technology -
An Invitation to Donate...
It is a rare occurrence in education when a technology moves from being a useful classroom tool to an education platform upon which an entire teaching philosophy is built. But this is precisely what has happened over the course of the past two decades, as the interactive whiteboards have become the focal point of the technology-driven 21st-century classroom. We want St. Luke School and our students to have access to this technology and we have embarked on a campaign to put it in place.
If you have never seen a SMART Board in action, you might want to visit the following link to a You Tube video demonstration.
This is an external link and may change at any time.
Our goal is to have an interactive whiteboard - called a SMART Board - in every classroom at St. Luke School for the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year which begins in August of 2010.
As of June 1st, we have installed SMART Boards in all academic classrooms in the Middle School, all 5th grade rooms and in the ROAR classroom in the Ministry Center, all of the 3rd and 4th grade classrooms in the church and the 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms in the 318 Building. The remainder of the boards have been ordered and should be installed during the summer.
Please continue to support this initiative as we strive to reach our goal.

Your gift will make this happen and we need your help.
