Bill Shelnutt, Head of School
Bill holds a B. A. in History from State University of New York, Buffalo. He earned a Masters degree in Middle Grades Education from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, an Educational Leadership Certificate from Georgia State University, and an MBA from Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga. Bill has over twenty years experience in education including eight years as Head of the Preparatory School at Mount Pisgah Christian School in Johns Creek, Georgia. He also held positions as Assistant Headmaster at Brandon Hall School and Dean of Students at Holy Spirit Preparatory Schools, both in Atlanta, GA. Bill comes to St. Luke after serving as Head of School at Wildwood Christian Academy in Marble Hill, Georgia. Bill is a sought after presenter at the annual ISM summer institute. Bill and his wife Susan are parents to twins Annie and Will, two of our newest St. Luke Lions.
Jennifer Oliver, Assistant Head of School and Middle School Principal
Jennifer Oliver is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree, of Troy State where she earned a master’s degree, and of Columbus State University where she earned a specialist degree in middle school education. She has also earned gifted endorsement from Columbus State University. Mrs. Oliver taught in the Muscogee County School District for over 10 years and was awarded the Teacher of the Year of Double Churches Middle School in 2004. She has been a part of the St. Luke Middle School staff since 2004 and accepted the role as Assistant Principal of St. Luke School in 2011. Mrs. Oliver’s husband is also a teacher and together they have two boys, one a student at Columbus High School and one attending the University of Georgia.
Jennifer Parker, Lower School Principal
Jennifer Parker is a graduate of Columbus State University, where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education. She also received an Educational Leadership degree from Troy University. She earned National Board Certification in the area of Early Childhood Generalist in 2003. Mrs. Parker enjoys mentoring new teachers and writing grants. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, watching movies and reading.
