Duke University Talent Identification St. Luke School is proud to announce that one of our 6th grade students was named named by the Duke University Talent Identification Program as an Explore Honor Roll member. The student scored over 99% percentile in all areas and the composite score of the 8th grade achievement exam. She is one of only 16 students in the state of Georgia to achieve this honor.

National History Day Finals Four St. Luke Middle School students traveled to the nation's capitol this past June to compete in the National History Day finals. The students were eligible to compete because of their outstanding performances in the State Competition. Two of the students placed 2nd for their group documentary, Waking Up to Waco. One of the students placed 2nd for an individual exhibit, Ray Charles:The Life and Music. One of the students received Honorable Mention for a paper, Anne Frank: A Voice Still Heard. The dedication and determination of these students is commendable. The students worked the entire school year on these projects, fine tuning them based on judges' comments at the various levels of competition.

ThinkQuest International 2007 Four St. Luke Middle School students were recently awarded a Certificate of Achievement from ThinkQuest International for completing and submitting a website that met the scoring requirements. Top-Notch Science Project "Which Sunscreen Works Best?" One of our St. Luke Middle School Students won first place in the local, regional, and state science fairs with a project titled "Which Sunscreen Works Best?". This student was also selected as one of 400 semifinalists in the Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge 2007. This award was given to only nine students in the state of Georgia.
