Taylor Colwell, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
Taylor Colwell has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Columbus State University. While pursuing that degree and prior to becoming a Junior Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Colwell was an assistant teacher at the St. Luke Early Learning Center. In her free time, she loves going on new adventures with her daughter Sophia.
Amber Estes, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
Amber Estes graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a Pre-K teacher at St. Luke Early Learning Center for 13 years before moving over to St. Luke School to teach Junior Kindergarten. Amber is married and has three daughters. She enjoys being a part of the SLS faculty and staff, and watching her students grow throughout the year.
Stacy Wetherell, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
Stacy Wetherell received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Troy University. She has worked with Pre-K at the ELC for 6 years and joined the St. Luke School family in 2017. She is happily married to her husband Daniel and has a daughter. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, shopping, going to the beach and cooking.
Stephanie Woods, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
Stephanie Woods was born and raised in Columbus and graduated from Columbus State University. (Fun fact: Mrs. Woods has two diplomas – one as part of the last “Columbus College” graduating class and one as part of the first “Columbus State University” graduating class.) She began teaching at the St. Luke Early Learning Center in 1999 and taught Pre-K 3 and 4 there for 17 years. She joined the faculty of St. Luke School in 2017. Mrs. Woods and her husband have a son. When she’s not teaching, she loves decorating, creating crafts, organizing, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite getaway is the beach.
Ashley Alexander, Junior Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant
Ashley Alexander has worked as a certified pharmacy technician for the past ten years. She is married with four children who attend St. Luke School. She has a passion for teaching and guiding children. She began serving as a Teacher’s Assistant at St. Luke School in 2019. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, friends, and listening to music.
Kirven Boyce, Junior Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant
Kirven Boyce is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received her business degree in marketing. After college, she made a huge discovery and found out that she has a love for teaching children! She went back to school at Columbus State University and received her teaching certificate and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
Lisa Calhoun, Junior Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant
Lisa Calhoun is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana and still has family there. She and her husband Robert were married for 17 years before he passed away due to cancer. She is a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Pierce Chapel Preschool staff for 11 years before taking a position at the St. Luke Early Learning Center. She joined the St. Luke School staff in 2017. Mrs. Calhoun loves teaching and is thrilled to be a teacher’s assistant in Junior Kindergarten. Some of her hobbies are gardening, reading and music. (She loves the Beatles and classic rock!) Her favorite vacation spot is the beach.
Jamie Milner, Junior Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant
Jamie Milner graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She enjoys road trips, spending time with her husband, outdoor activities, and reading.
