Bri O’Hern, Seventh Grade Language Arts
Bri O’Hern has lived in Columbus since 2005. She is a graduate of Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and has furthered her degree to include middle grades Language Arts. She was a substitute teacher at St. Luke School before accepting a position teaching English Language Arts at Blackmon Road Middle School for the last three years. She will be joining St. Luke to teach 7th Grade Language Arts. Ms. O’Hern has a son, Michael, at St. Luke. In her free time, she enjoys watching her son play baseball and basketball, and you’ll often see her cheering on her students at their sporting & fine arts events as well.
Kim Padgett, Seventh Grade Social Studies
Mrs. Padgett began her career in higher education, having worked at Columbus State University for 14 years. After having children, she decided to make a career change and returned to school to finish her teacher certification. She is highly qualified to teach both Social Studies and Language Arts. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Communication, Masters Degree in Pubilc Administration, and a Masters of Arts in Teaching, all from CSU. She taught seventh and eighth grade Social Studies at Flint River Academy for three years prior to joining the St. Luke School staff. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is an active member of Morningside Baptist Church.
Paula Watkins, Seventh Grade Science
Paula Watkins earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Middle School Education from Columbus State University. Mrs. Watkins has taught fourth grade and seventh grade Life Science. She taught sixth grade Earth Science from 2007 through 2014. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Watkins enjoys playing tennis, reading, and spending time with her family.
Allen Webb, Seventh Grade Pre-Algebra
A native of Columbus, Mr. Webb graduated from Shaw High School in 2000. He received his education degree from Belmont Abbey College. He enjoys teaching math. He previously taught 3rd grade in North Carolina before joining the St. Luke School staff in 2017. He and his wife, Kelly, have 2 children, Kaiden and Kendall. He is a member of The Ridge United Methodist Church.
