Melissa Wood, Sixth Grade Math
Melissa Wood is a graduate of Columbus State University where she received a degree in Middle Grades Education. She taught eighth grade Physical Science from 2010 through 2016 and then joined the fifth grade team as a science and math teacher. In 2020, Mrs. Wood joined the sixth grade team teaching math. Mrs. Wood enjoys spending time with her husband, Jacob, and her three children who attend St. Luke School. .
Stacy Lacy, Sixth Grade Science
Stacy Lacy is originally from Michigan but has lived in Georgia over 15 years. She and her husband have lived in Columbus for over nine years. She taught in the Muscogee County school system for eight years before joining the St. Luke School faculty in 2018. Her husband is a pastor at North Highland Church and they have two boys, who attend St. Luke School. Teaching is Mrs. Lacy’s heart’s passion and she is so excited to teach your Lions.
Amy Palmer, Sixth Grade Language Arts
Amy Palmer is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She also has a master’s degree and reading endorsement in Early Childhood Education from Columbus State University. Mrs. Palmer enjoys reading and running half marathons.
Sarah Kate Prather, Sixth Grade Social Studies
Sarah Kate Prather graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S.Ed in Middle School Education, specializing in social studies and mathematics. She completed her student teaching in Quito, Ecuador. She is excited to be part of the St. Luke School family as a teacher, club sponsor, and coach.
